Title I Reading Specialist K-6
Title I is a federal program which supplies the schools with funds to remediate students in math and reading.
The Canton School District uses various measures to help make a preliminary decision about which students qualify for the program. Teacher recommendations and curriculum based assessments are also used in making the decision.
For the majority of the time, the Title I teachers in grades K-6 are able to go into the classes and work with students who need help during their regular reading class time.
If your child qualifies for Title I Services you would receive notification and be asked to complete the parent compact.
