The Twin Tiers Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is pleased to announce our 2026 Margaret R. Brewster scholarship program. Five non-renewable scholarships will be distributed for the 2026-2027 school year. Four (4) scholarships valued at $2,500 each, and one (1) Endowed Michele Marchese Scholarship for Women in Engineering to the top selected candidate valued at $3,000 will be awarded. The eligible seniors must plan to major in an ABET accredited engineering or CSAB accredited computer science program during the 2026-2027 school year. You will find a copy of our local section application enclosed, along with eligibility requirements.
The Society of Women Engineers National Scholarship Program is also available and includes multiple scholarships with various due dates. Applications for these scholarships, along with a complete version of the SWE scholarship brochure, are now online at the following link: https://twintiers.swe.org/ and select the “Scholarship” link.
The deadline for submission for the Twin Tiers SWE application is March 27, 2026. The five recipients will be announced in mid-May. An awards dinner for the recipients and their parents will be held with local SWE members in early June.

*2.5.2026 Grow PA Scholarship Grant Application
The Grow PA Scholarship Grant Application for the 2026–27 academic year can be completed as of February 5, 2026.
Grow PA Scholarship Grants are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, determined by the date a complete application is received. Renewal applicants receive priority until July 1, 2026.
To qualify, students must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and are encouraged to complete the FAFSA before applying for a Grow PA Grant.
The Grow PA Scholarship Grant provides up to $5,000 per year for students enrolled in eligible programs of study for a maximum of four academic years. Recipients must complete their program requirements and live and work in Pennsylvania for 12 months for each year they receive funding. Failure to meet these obligations will convert the scholarship grant to a loan that must be repaid.

Welcome to the 2026 scholarship season! FCFP has 135 scholarship opportunities and over $410,000 to award this year. The application portal will open on Sunday, February 1, so students may begin applying at that time.
Some details to make note of:
1. The application portal will open beginning February 1
2. Applications are due April 1, letters of recommendation are due April 15.
3. Recipients of awards will receive a letter informing them of the award amount by June 15th. They will NOT learn of the amount before then.
4. Students are required to upload a thank-you note on the portal before they can receive the scholarship.
*1.20.2026 ABC Keystone’s Merit Shop Training & Research Center Scholarship opportunity with you. Every year, the Center awards multiple scholarships to individuals seeking to further their education in careers in construction.
To be eligible, applicants must either:
- be a permanent resident in the Chapter’s service area which includes the following Pennsylvania counties: Adams, Bedford, Berks, Blair, Bradford, Cambria, Cameron, Centre, Chester, Clearfield, Clinton, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Elk, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lycoming, McKean, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Potter, Schuylkill, Snyder, Somerset, Sullivan, Tioga, Union, York; or,
- be applying to or attending a Chapter service area trade school, college or university program that is directly related to a construction career. This includes skilled trades, engineering, architecture, and construction management.
The 2026-2027 scholarship application window is open, and applications are due March 6, 2026. Please consider sharing this information with your students seeking a future in construction. Application forms and instructions can be found on our website.
